Stefan Breuer (also an active member of Lost Bear and I Am Oak) has been writing, recording and performing as The Subhuman since he was eleven. Always looking for a combination of melody and spacey arrangements, The Subhuman has released lots of records with (sometimes very short) bedroom-indiepop songs. His tunes are sad, hopeful and witty at the same time, with hints of lo-fi, progrock, pop, and electronic music.
A World Full Of Melodies marked the beginning of a collaboration with Snowstar Records, followed by the beautiful 7" Sur La Route. The upcoming monster-album will prove he still has the ability to write great songs and record them in a unique, rich and crafty way. In the meantime he keeps amazing us with great projects, also in other art forms and on other labels.
